The Holcan Group was formed on 25th August 1958, with the incorporation of our mother Company Castle Marketing Group Ltd, by the late Joseph James Holliday.
During the last 64 years the Holcan Group has achieved many important milestones and incorporated various other Companies into the Group, always in pursuit of excellence and new business opportunities. The Group continues to be a family owned and run business, where personal relationships play a key role in the success, over many years.
Since my departure from politics in December 2011, the Holcan Group has focused substantially on people, infrastructure and technology, which together with its commitment to delivering quality service to its customers, places the Group in a strong position to meet the challenges of a business in a dynamic and fast moving world in the various area it specialises in.

The Group has always acted with best practice and guidelines, through adopting proper standards of business practice and procedures and by expecting all executives and employees to uphold the highest ethical standard of honesty, integrity and fairness.

Castle Marketing Group Limited was formed in 1958 and is the parent company within The Holcan-Group-of- Companies. Throughout the years the Group has specialised in the exclusive importation and distribution of watches, jewellery, writing instruments, sunglasses, photographic equipment, household, pharmaceutical, toiletries and food products under different companies and management structures.
The Group has continued to expand throughout this time and moved into the retail fashion business. In 2005, the Group opened its first Tommy Hilfiger franchise store in Main Street in Gibraltar. The Group opened its first Tommy Hilfiger Kids franchise store, in Main Street, in Gibraltar, in April 2012.
At present, the parent company has a management and administrative role in overseeing the different companies with the Group, from its head office at Hadfield House, in Library Street.
In 2004 the Group identified that the ‘shopping experience’ in Gibraltar lacked the presence and availability of quality fashion branded stores in the High Street. Castle Marketing Group (Fashion) Limited entered into a Franchise Agreement with Tommy Hilfiger Europe BV and shortly after opened up its first Tommy Hilfiger franchised store at 237 Main Street, specializing in Fashion Sportswear.

The brand celebrates the essence of Classic American Cool and provides a refreshing twist to the preppy fashion genre. Since its debut in 1985, the Tommy Hilfiger Group has become a US$ 4.6 billion apparel and retail company by offering consumers a breadth of beautifully designed, high quality productsincluding men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, sportswear,denim, and a range of licensed products such as accessories,fragrances and home furnishings.
In 2012 the Group expanded its Tommy Hilfiger operations in Gibraltar and set up a ‘Tommy Hilfiger Kids’ store at 254 Main Street under its company Castle Marketing Group (Kids Fashion) Limited.
Worth Consulting Limited was incorporated in 2012 and is run by the Chairman The Honourable Joseph John Holliday and his son Joseph Louis Holliday.
Joseph John Holliday gained vast experience during the 16 years [1996 -2011] as a Minister of the Government of Gibraltar, the last 8 years of which he was Deputy Chief Minister (2003 – 2011). This has proved of immense value, especially in the areas of inward investment and economic development.

Joey joined the Group in 2004 shortly after completing his Business Studies in the UK. Joey, is responsible for implementing and developing Business Plans in collaboration with the Board, for the future of the Group. Joey has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2008.
Douglas joined the Group in 2002 as Group Financial Controller, after having worked as a Senior Manager in the Commercial and Retail Banking Sector. Douglas was appointed Managing Director in 2008 and is responsible for ensuring achievement of the Groups Strategic Business Objectives.
Michelle joined the Group in 2005 when the Group opened its first Tommy Hilfiger Franchise Store. Michelle is responsible for the day to day running and merchandising of the Tommy Hilfiger stores.
Joe joined the Group in 1980 as Financial Director and was appointed Managing Director in 1988. Following his election as a Government Minister in 1996, he stepped down as Managing Director and was appointed Chairman of the Group. Following his retirement from Government in 2011, Joe now dedicates his time to develop the Group further. His vast experience enables him to offer consultancy and project management services through Worth Consulting Limited and Prior Projects International Limited, in areas like Inward Investment, Tourism, Trade, Property Development, Maritime Affairs, Telecommunications, Transport, E-commerce and E-gaming.
